plant extract description

What is the source of sclareol?

Salvia sclarea is native to Europe and now mainly produced in France. It is a famous spice crop with an amber aroma.

Our company has a long-term and stable cooperative relationship with the fragrant perilla production areas in northern Shaanxi, so the Sclareol powder supplied by us are known for the high ester content and pure aroma. This plant was introduced into my country in the early 1970s. In China, fragrant perilla grass grows in northern Shaanxi. The area has a large temperature difference, temperature, humidity and altitude suitable for the growth of the herb.

Sclareol is a natural diterpene extracted from the inflorescence of the plant Salvia sclarea. It is stable in nature, resistant to heat and acid, and not easy to volatilize. It is usually used as an intermediate for the synthesis of ambergris and an important ingredient in the preparation of spices.
In recent years, many companies have begun to use biological fermentation methods to synthesize sclareol. With the success of bacterial strain transformation, the production of sclareol has been greatly improved.

plant extract function

1. Sclareol powder is a compound extracted from the leaves and flowers of perilla and is often used as a compounding agent for food flavors and additives due to its aromatic taste.
2. Intermediate. Sclareol is extracted from clary sage oil and then chemically converted into ambroxan. Sclareol essential oil extracted from Salvia sclarea is a precious natural spice. Its stems and leaves are extracted into extract, which can be refined after further processing. Sperillaol and sperleolide are produced, and then ambroxan is synthesized.
3. Perilla essential oil can be used to prepare daily cosmetics essences, make perfumes, and also be used in food and pharmaceuticals.

4. Sclareol has anti-aging benefits for the skin. Sclareol can significantly reduce the area and length of wrinkles on facial skin.
The anti-aging mechanism of sclareol is to inhibit the expression of MMPs induced by UVB by regulating AP-1 and restore the cell proliferation ability induced by UVB.
5. Sclareol, as a monoterpene drug that prevents cancer, has a unique therapeutic effect in the treatment of breast cancer.
Studies have found that injection of sclareol can significantly reduce serum IgE levels in AD mice, reduce the concentration of pro-inflammatory cytokines in local skin lesions, and also inhibit T cell activation.
