The 2019 Beauty Consumption Trend Report released by CBNData shows that the three most popular effects that consumers pay attention to are whitening, anti-aging and hydration. Hyaluronic acid, collagen and niacinamide are currently the three most popular ingredients in cosmetics and food. The Cross-border Health Products Consumer Insight Report shows that the popular ingredients of beauty products are hyaluronic acid, resveratrol, vitamin C, grape seed extract, glutathione, collagen and anthocyanins.

1. In China, astaxanthin from Haematococcus pluvialis can be used in food. Astaxanthin is also a popular raw material in the Japanese functional food market, mainly used in health fields such as skin care, eye protection, fatigue relief and cognitive function improvement.

2. Ergothioneine has tautomers in the form of thiol and thione, and the thione tautomer is dominant at physiological pH, which makes ergothioneine have an extremely strong antioxidant property. 4. Japan is the first country to approve NMN as a food ingredient, and its research and application of NMN are relatively mature. In the Japanese supplement market, the main forms of NMN supplements are capsules, chewable tablets, powder and liquid. It can be used with a variety of functional ingredients to synergistically increase efficacy.
