Xylooligosaccharide is a functional oligosaccharide that has attracted much attention in recent years.
XOS exists naturally in fruits and vegetables, and can also be produced by hydrolyzing xylan to produce oligoxylose. Its sweetness is 30% to 40% of sucrose. Compared with other oligosaccharides, it has the advantages of good stability, acid resistance and high temperature resistance.
It is considered to be a soluble dietary fiber with prebiotic activity and has been widely used in food, beverages and health products.

What does xylooligosaccharide do?
1. Xylo-oligosaccharides (XOS) can promote the growth or activity of beneficial intestinal microorganisms to maintain host gastrointestinal health. Clinical studies have found that XOS can relieve constipation and improve gastrointestinal function in the elderly.
2. Xylo-oligosaccharides are absorbed and utilized by Bifidobacterium and fermented and degraded into short-chain fatty acids, bifid factors, antibiotics and other substances, which have a significant effect on improving intestinal function.
Intervention effect of XOS on chronic diarrhea. After ingesting XOS, patients with diarrhea have reduced diarrhea symptoms, improved lipid metabolism, increased intestinal flora diversity, and increased the abundance of beneficial bacteria.
3. It can effectively reduce blood sugar and blood lipids and has no side effects on the organism.
4. Xylo-oligosaccharides cannot be digested in the human oral cavity and cannot be utilized by oral microorganisms. Therefore, xylo-oligosaccharides as a sweetener do not affect oral hygiene. In addition, when xylo-oligosaccharides and sucrose exist at the same time, they can prevent sucrose from being synthesized by microorganisms and generate insoluble polymer glucose, preventing the enamel on the tooth surface from falling off, and playing a certain protective role.
What is xylooligosaccharide used for?
1. Xylooligosaccharide can be used in products that can moisten the intestines and relieve constipation
2. It is used in nutrition and dietary supplement products
3. Used in products that can lower blood sugar and blood lipids
4. Used in products that can lower blood sugar and blood lipids
