What is Pro-xylane?
Proxylane is a mixture of water, propylene glycol, and Hydroxypropyl tetrahydropyrantriol, and is a xylose derivative.
It is a key starting material for the synthesis of glycosaminoglycans. There is a substance called glycosaminoglycans (GAGs) in the dermis of the skin, which supports the skin and keeps it firm and plump.
Glycosaminoglycans (GAGs) are spontaneously produced and continuously consumed in the skin. Especially with age, the consumption rate will gradually exceed the production rate, so the skin will gradually age, sag, and develop wrinkles.
Glycosaminoglycans (GAGs) have a strong ability to absorb water. After absorbing a large amount of water, they form a plump and elastic colloid structure.
At the same time, the proteoglycans produced by it make the matrix network structure more elastic, which helps to improve the firmness and elasticity of the skin.

Proxylane for skin
The more Pro xylane, the faster glycosaminoglycans are synthesized, and the skin becomes plumper and tighter. This is why famous brand Proxylane Hydroxypropyl tetrahydropyrantriol products with very high amounts and concentrations.
Pro xylane can significantly increase the expression of glycosaminoglycans, collagen, and elastin in the skin, which is beneficial to enhancing the integrity of the extracellular matrix ECM and strengthening the structure of the dermal-epidermal junction tissue DEJ, thereby tightening the skin and improving skin texture provides support for cell structure and regulates dynamic physiological processes of cells.
Collagen, elastin, laminin, and fibronectin constitute the fibrous structural proteins. Collagen is the most important component. These proteins are long macromolecules that form tough triple helical fibers.
Studies have shown that a concentration of 0.19% of Pro xylane can promote the synthesis of glycosaminoglycans in human fibroblasts, thereby repairing the skin. In addition, multiple experiments have shown that products with a Pro xylane concentration of more than 3% will produce better results.
In fact, the use of Pro-xylane Hydroxypropyl tetrahydropyrantriol should be determined according to your skin condition.
For general dry skin and young anti-aging skin, only medium and low concentrations of Pro-xylane are needed. Reasonable combination with other ingredients will be more cost-effective.
If facial sagging is already obvious and the skin feels deeply dehydrated, then you can consider using high concentrations of Pro-xylane.
High-concentration Pro-xylane products are most suitable for sensitive skin, skin with damaged barrier function, and skin with dehydrated and dry skin. For dry and sensitive skin, it is recommended to use "Pro-xylane + peptides", and for oily skin, it is recommended to use "Pro-xylane + retinol".
