In 1819, Danish chemists first isolated piperine from pepper fruit. Tetrahydropiperine (THP), a hydrogenated derivative of piperine, is an oil-soluble absorption enhancer that helps promote the penetration and absorption of the required active ingredients in the skin and tissues. The added amount of 0.01-0.05% has a significant effect. This product is used in skin care products, food and medicine.
