Potassium Azeloyl Diglycinate

This product is a potassium salt of azelaic acid combined with glycine.Powder form and liquid form are available.
In 2010, Italian researchers introduced glycine into the azelaic acid molecule and developed Potassium Azeloyl Diglycinate.
Due to the addition of the amino acid glycine, it is more soluble in water and easier to mix with skin care products. other ingredients in the formulation. It is considered gentler on the skin and is suitable for sensitive skin as well.
From the current research results, we can conclude that its addition range is usually below 4%, a concentration of 0.5% is beneficial to soothing the skin, and a concentration of 2-3% can help fade skin spots and regulate sebum secretion. 

1. It  has good water solubility and good chemical stability, and is suitable for formulating products of various dosage forms, including clear and translucent essences. 
2. It has higher activity and better effect. It can be added at low concentration, usually 3-5%. Azelaic acid has poor solubility and can only work at high concentrations. As a cosmetic raw material for anti-acne products, the amount added is generally 15-20%.

4. Good safety, more gentle, suitable for sensitive skin. No itching, no irritation, no redness and allergies, no dryness and flaking of the skin. High concentrations of azelaic acid are irritating and should be used with caution on sensitive skin.
5. Easy to mix with other ingredients. It is easy to prepare into essences, gels and other products. It has good effects, enhanced solubility and reduced irritation.

1. Its main function is to inhibit skin seborrheic and regulate oil secretion. Reduces skin sebum production by competitively inhibiting 5-a reductase.

2. Antibacterial and anti-acne. Inhibits the proliferation of acne bacteria by inhibiting protein synthesis within bacteria.
3. Whitening and freckle removal effect. Inhibits melanocyte mitochondrial enzyme activity and DNA synthesis, competitively inhibits tyrosinase and melanin synthesis, whitens and removes spots, and improves uneven skin tone.
4. It has the effect of regenerating cells, increasing skin elasticity and reducing fine lines.
Potassium Azeloyl Diglycinate at 0%, 3%, 5%, and 7% was used as raw material as an anti-aging ingredient, and its physical properties and stability were evaluated.
5. This ingredient is beneficial for the treatment of rosacea. It also has antibacterial and exfoliating properties.
