Allantoin Powder supplier

Allantoin powder is an imidazole heterocyclic compound and a derivative of uric acid. It was first discovered in the allantoic fluid of cattle.
It appears as an odorless white powder, slightly soluble in water and soluble in sodium hydroxide.
As a natural component of human skin, uric acid has the functions of anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, soothing and promoting cell repair.
The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) classifies allantoin as a Class I skin protectant. It is safe and effective, and its value as a cosmetic ingredient has been supported by in vitro and in vivo tests.
The Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare of Japan lists allantoin as an ingredient that can be added to cosmetics.

1. The main functions in personal care products are moisturizing and repairing.
Allantoin can promote cell tissue growth, metabolism, and soften cuticle proteins. When allantoin is applied to ulcerated and purulent skin, it speeds up wound healing and is a great gentle ingredient for treating skin injuries. It is often used to treat dry skin and chapped hands and feet.

0.2% allantoin is similar to 10%~20% in terms of moisturizing, locking in water and softening the cuticle.
The test of measuring skin water loss (TEWL) shows that allantoin has the effect of enhancing moisturizing and reducing water loss.
0.2% allantoin has a very good water retention effect and can maintain the skin's moisture content for a long time.
Allantoin plays a very good protective role against the stimulation of red blood cell membranes by surfactants and has a certain anti-irritation effect.

2. Allantoin can improve pigmentation and reduce caesarean section scars in women who have had caesarean sections.

3. Antioxidant

Allantoin is one of the end products of purine catabolism and oxidation of uric acid, and it exhibits antioxidant effects in a variety of diseases. Research on the anti-oxidative stress mechanism of allantoin shows that allantoin can interact with free radicals and act as an effective antioxidant in the reaction of reactive oxygen species.
