What is resveratrol?
In 1940, Japanese scholars extracted resveratrol from the roots of Veratrum grandiforum.Resveratrol powder is insoluble in water, but soluble in solvents such as ethanol and acetone. Its physical state is white needle-shaped crystals.
Resveratrol exists in natural plants and fruits such as grapes and knotweed. The content of resveratrol in grapes varies greatly, which is mainly related to factors such as grape variety, soil environment, and cultivation method.
It is a non-flavonoid polyphenol compound containing a stilbene structure.

Benefit of resveratrol:
1. It is a good antioxidant that can help reduce the formation of free radicals and protect cells from oxidative stress damage.
2. It has anti-inflammatory properties, which can inhibit the inflammatory response and the release of inflammatory mediators. It helps reduce discomfort caused by inflammation and may have some protective effects against inflammatory diseases such as arthritis and inflammatory bowel disease.
3. Cardiovascular protection: considered beneficial to cardiovascular health as it can lower cholesterol levels, improve blood flow, inhibit platelet aggregation and reduce the risk of atherosclerosis. This may help reduce the incidence of cardiovascular disease.

5. Resveratrol powder may have a protective effect on the nervous system. It may protect nerve cells by reducing oxidative stress and inflammation, thereby helping to prevent neurodegenerative diseases such as Alzheimer's and Parkinson's diseases.
6. Lowers blood sugar levels: May help lower blood sugar levels, improve insulin sensitivity, and reduce the risk of diabetes. However, research in this area needs further confirmation.

7. It may have a protective effect on the liver and can reduce fatty liver, liver fibrosis and liver damage.
8. It may help improve cognitive function and memory, and may have certain benefits for the elderly and people with cognitive impairment.
9. Research progress of resveratrol in the treatment of polycystic ovary syndrome:
Resveratrol improves the glucose and lipid metabolism disorder in polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS)
It improves the hyperandrogenism in polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS). Clinical trial results also confirmed that the levels of testosterone and dehydroepiandrosterone sulfate in the serum of PCOS patients decreased after oral administration of resveratrol.

1. It is widely used in drug research and development. It may be used to treat cardiovascular diseases, tumors, inflammatory diseases, neurodegenerative diseases and many other diseases.
2. It is widely used in skin care products because of its anti-oxidation and anti-aging properties. It can help reduce free radical damage, suppress skin inflammation, provide hydration and repair, and improve skin quality.
3. It can also be used as a dietary nutritional supplement for people to take orally. By supplementing with Resveratrol, one can reap its antioxidant and other potential benefits to maintain overall health.
4. Food industry: It exists in foods such as grape skins, red wine and peanuts, so it is also used in the food industry. For example, it can be used in the production of red wine, grape juice, chocolate and health food etc.
5. Some studies suggest that Resveratrol may have an adjunctive effect in cancer treatment. It can play a role by inhibiting tumor growth and metastasis, promoting tumor cell apoptosis, and enhancing the effect of chemotherapy drugs. However, more research is still needed to determine its specific role and scope of application in clinical treatment.
