What is resveratrol?

In 1940, Japanese scholars extracted resveratrol from the roots of Veratrum grandiforum.Resveratrol powder is insoluble in water, but soluble in solvents such as ethanol and acetone.Its physical state is white needle-shaped crystals.
Resveratrol exists in natural plants and fruits such as grapes and knotweed. The content of resveratrol in grapes varies greatly, which is mainly related to factors such as grape variety, soil environment, and cultivation method.

It is a non-flavonoid polyphenol compound containing a stilbene structure.

Resveratrol

Benefit of resveratrol：

1. It is a good antioxidant that can help reduce the formation of free radicals and protect cells from oxidative stress damage.

It improves the hyperandrogenism in polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS). Clinical trial results also confirmed that the levels of testosterone and dehydroepiandrosterone sulfate in the serum of PCOS patients decreased after oral administration of resveratrol.
