1)   the stability of ordinary lutein in the stomach is poor, easy to be destroyed by gastric acid, and not easy to be absorbed by the small intestine;

2)   the stability of lutein esters in the stomach is stronger than lutein, but some of them are still vulnerable to gastric acid damage. The absorption rate of lutein esters is 61.6% higher than that of lutein, but in the small intestine it is prone to agglomeration, which affects absorption;
