How Many Ingredients Does Blueberry Extract Have?

Dec 31, 2019

The anthocyanins and flavonoids are rich in blueberry extract. And pomace, polysaccharides and other biologically active substances, as natural antioxidants have rich resources and high safety.

Anthocyanin was the first grape skin red extracted from red grape dregs. It was marketed in Italy in 1879. It is water-soluble natural pigments found in plants. Anthocyanins are rarely found under natural conditions and are often associated with sugar. Glycosides, called anthocyanins, come from the USDA Human Nutrition Center. It improved stability significantly.

Flavonoids are biologically active components of blueberries. A large amount of flavonoids are present in blueberry leaves and pomace. Currently, the extraction methods of flavones in blueberry leaves include ethanol solvent method, macroporous resin purification method and microwave extraction method.

Blueberry extract contain a large amount of polyphenols and have a strong antibacterial effect. Feng Jin et al. purified blueberry leaf polyphenols with resin. The analysis of the purity of blueberry leaf polyphenols has been improved to show that blueberry leaf polyphenols are rich in caffeine quinine and Quercetin-extracted blueberry leaf polyphenols with reduced pressure have stronger antioxidant capacity than normal-pressure extracted blueberry leaves. The waste pomace produced during the processing of blueberries can account for up to the weight of fresh fruit. A large amount of polyphenol cellulose remains Enzyme-assisted ultrasonic extraction of blue grape pomace polyphenols, the content of which is higher than that of water extract and alcohol extract. The antioxidant properties of blueberry leaf polyphenol extract and blueberry pomace polysaccharide were compared by various methods. The results showed that Blueberry leaf polyphenols and blueberry pomace polyphenols have strong antioxidant activity and can be used to develop natural antioxidants.

Polysaccharides are functional components in blueberries, which have antiviral, antitumor, anti-inflammatory and anti-aging effects. Little research has been done on blueberry polysaccharides. At present, only Shenyang Agricultural University has extracted and separated blueberry polysaccharides from blueberry and blueberry residues.

Hydrogen peroxide

Blueberry polysaccharides such as water and n-butanol triacetate are separated by cellulose ion exchange columns and purified by gel columns to obtain blueberry polysaccharide components, which are mainly composed of arabinose, galactose, xylose and glucose monosaccharides.

Other extracts

Blueberry extract also contains ellagic acid, proanthocyanidins, and arbutin, which are antioxidants. It mainly in condensed form, and have obvious inhibitory effects on a variety of cancers. Ellagic acid content, the content of ellagic acid in the blue grape hydrolysate is high, about proanthocyanidins are mainly composed of catechin monomers and polymers, which are natural substances with high activity and no toxic side effects.
